About Don Ouellette

Don has realized a dream that started many years ago in a little backyard shed where he crafted and honed his craft until he was ready to release it to the world. That backyard shed has given way to studio 533 and his works can be found in homes and collections across the country.

As a landscape painter working in oils and watercolors focused on rural New England he holds memberships in several local art Associations and Societies including: Arts League of Lowell, Lowell Art Association, Whistler House Museum of Art, Chelmsford Art Society and Western Avenue Studios Artists Association. Don has studied with many accomplished artists: Jack Flynn A.W.S., Carlton Plummer A.W.S, Murray Wentworth N.A., Guy Dampier and David Lowrey. His paintings have been included in exhibitions at the All Gallery, Whistler House Museum of Art, and Ellsworth Gallery Ct. Awards include: Best in Show Lowell Art Assoc. members juried show Nov. 2008. First in watercolor Lowell Festival (twice) First in oil CAS. Don now maintains a studio at the Western Avenue Studios in Lowell and his work may be viewed by appointment or during Open Studios the first Saturday of every month between noon and 5 PM. Studio number 533 on the fifth floor.
